Minnie Pearl Ridout, 94, of Chesterfield, Virginia, died on Sunday, October 1, 2017. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Jesse James Ridout, Sr. She is survived by her sons, Paul (Sandy), Jesse Jr. (Joan), and Freddy (Tammy) Ridout; grandchildren, Rodney Ridout (Leslie), Jessica Malkerson (Guy), Jonathan Ridout (Allison), Annie Ridout, and Robert Ridout (Jennifer); and great-grandchildren, Lindsey, Zachary, Lily, Alexandra and Sterling. Minnie Pearl was a beautician and ran her own business for many years. Later she became a cosmetology instructor at Bon Air [School for Girls]. When the Chesterfield Technical Center opened in 1977, Minnie became a member of the original cosmetology instructional staff and remained in this position until her retirement in 1989. A celebration of Minnie's life will be held at Bethia United Methodist Church, 10700 Winterpock Rd., Chesterfield, VA 23832 on Friday, October 6, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. Interment will be at 11:00 a.m. that morning in Dale Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Bon Secours Hospice, 8580 Magellan Pwky., Richmond, VA 23227 or to a charity of your choice.
