Rebecca A. Willis, 61 passed away on Wednesday, August 2, 2017. Becky is now at peace and has gone to be with the Lord in Heaven after a courageous battle with ALS. She was born on December 8th, 1955 in North Carolina to the late Edward and Edith Ashley. Becky grew up in Chesterfield where she attended Thomas Dale High School. After high school, Becky eventually moved to Powhatan with her family. She lived in Powhatan where she and her husband of 43 years, David Willis Sr., raised three sons, David G Willis Jr, Kevin J Willis and Christopher H Willis. In addition to her husband and sons, she is also survived by her daughter in-law's, Laurie and Tammy. Grandma leaves a legacy of 8 grandchildren, Cody, Mackenzie, Matthew, Cole, Riley, Wyatt, Jacob and Aubrie. She is also survived by her siblings, Susan Cimburke (David) and Edward Ashley, Jr. and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Becky enjoyed gardening, salt-water fishing and spending time with her grandkids. The family is deeply grateful for the outpouring of love, prayers, and support in many heart-felt forms from the MCV/VCU ALS Clinic. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. on Sunday, August 6, 2017 at Morrissett Funeral and Cremation Service, 6500 Iron Bridge Rd. (Rt. 10). Her funeral service will be held on Monday at 5 p.m. at the funeral home. Her sunset interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Park, Chester, VA.
