Grief Support

Greg Webber

Morrissett Funeral & Cremation Service understands that the families we serve need continued support after the death of a loved one. Our objective is to embrace each family with “Aftercare” designed to meet their needs, as well as serving the Chesterfield County community.

Our Aftercare Director/Community Care Coordinator, Greg Webber, offers grief support to the families we serve at no additional cost. Greg has an MDiv. Seminary degree and has served churches in Louisiana, Kentucky, Michigan and Virginia in pastoral ministry. Greg possesses invaluable training and experience in assisting those in need of spouse loss, child loss, drug overdose death and suicide loss grief support offering community resources, crisis counseling and grief support groups. Our bereavement support groups are also available to the community-at-large, at no charge, depending on space availability.

Annual Events

*Annual Holiday Remembrance:
This is an opportunity for your family and friends to join us at Meadowbrook Country Club on the second Sunday of November for a no-cost reception and a meaningful service of remembrance for your loved one. Our desire is to help you prepare for the holiday season without your special loved one.

This annual Aftercare event is one of the many ways we offer care beyond the funeral service. Please read the information below and mark your calendar for this special day of remembrance.

If we have served your family during the last year, you will receive an invitation to our annual Holiday Remembrance event. Extended family and friends are also welcome. Please join MF&CS owner Margaret Edie, Aftercare Director Greg Webber, along with our Funeral Directors and staff on the 2nd Saturday of November. In an atmosphere of mutual support, shared experiences, and cherished memories, we'll enjoy delicious hors d’oeuvres prepared by the incredible Meadowbrook chef and staff. The hors d’oeuvres reception is our gift to you, as well as a remembrance ornament gift for each family. You will hear a positive, uplifting speaker bringing compassionate insight, hope, and reassurance. Let us help you make new memories this holiday season to add to those you treasure from the past.

*Mother’s Day:
In honor of Mother's Day, we will make a donation to the Lewis Ginter Botanical Gardens in memory of all the mothers that passed away this year.

*Father’s Day:
In honor of Father's Day, we will make a donation to Habitat for Humanity in memory of all the fathers that passed away this year.

Join the Morrissett team to celebrate the mothers and fathers who have set us on the path of life to live, laugh, love, and learn how to be the person we were created to be.
