Obituary

Ernest E. Campbell, Jr., 93, of Richmond, VA went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, June 26, 2019. He is survived by his children Phyllis Jones, Charles “Eddie” Campbell (Julie), Joyce Crostic, and Betty Smith (James); grandchildren Jeffrey, Stacy, Tiffany, and Austin; great-grandchildren Oliver, Callum, Kelsey, Kinley, and Connor. He is also survived by his brothers Dewey and Tommy. Ernest was preceded in death by his wife Bernice E. Campbell, parents, and eight other siblings. Ernest served proudly with the US Navy Seabees during WWII. He retired after 38 years from the DuPont Spruance Plant. Ernest was also known as the “Apple Man” because he loved to sell produce from his truck. Friends may visit from 5-7 pm on Sunday, June 30th at Morrissett Funeral & Cremation Service, 6500 Iron Bridge Rd. N. Chesterfield, VA 23234. Funeral service will be held at 9 am on Monday, July 1st at the Morrissett Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow at Dale Memorial Park.   3. I am so sorry for your loss. I have so many precious memories of your Mom and Dad during my “growing-up” years and am so sorry we lost touch with each other. He was always so KIND and was one of my favorite cousins. Uncle Ernest and my Dad, Ralph Campbell, were brothers.
