Obituary

Kevin Wayne Ashman, 52, of Midlothian, VA went to rejoice with the Lord on Tuesday, July 14, 2026. He was born on September 2, 1973 in Richmond, Virginia to Gloria Ashman and the late Samuel Roberts Ashman, Jr. He is preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Marie and Walter Clark; paternal grandparents, Louise and Harold Babcock; and step-father, Eugene Allen.

Kevin is survived by his mother, Gloria Ashman; brother, Robert Ashman (Missy); nephew, Robbie Ashman; and extended family members and friends.

Kevin graduated from L.C. Byrd High School and enjoyed spending time with his friends at Diversity Training and Support. He was known for his warm smile, playful sense of humor, and never meeting a stranger. Kevin loved NASCAR, family outings, and trips to the beach. He shared a special bond with his brother, Robert, and his nephew, Robbie, whom he loved dearly. Kevin will be remembered for the joy, laughter, and kindness he brought to everyone who knew him.

A visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, July 21, 2026 at Morrissett Funeral & Cremation Service, 6500 Iron Bridge Rd, N. Chesterfield, VA 23234. His funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, July 22, 2026 at the funeral home. Interment to follow at the Central Baptist Church Cemetery.
