Fittro, Algie William, 86, of Chesterfield, born in Akron, OH, passed away January 12, 2010. He is survived by his loving wife of 55 years, Wilma Jean Fittro; niece Terri Harrison, and her husband, Raymond, and their children, Allison and Sarah; several nieces, nephews, and their families in Florida and Ohio; and many special friends, especially James Johnson and Jennifer Shaffer. After retiring from the US Navy, Mr. Fittro worked at the General Defense Center. He was a member of the Fleet Reserve Branch 219, Masonic Lodge 161, Scottish Rite, ACCA Shrine Temple, Legion of Honor, and VFW Post 2163. The family will receive friends 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 pm Monday at Morrissett Funeral Home, 6500 Iron Bridge Road (Rte 10). A Masonic service will be held during the evening visitation. A funeral service will be held Tuesday at 11:30 am at the funeral home. Interment will be at 3 pm at Virginia Veterans Cemetery in Amelia.
