Amber Diane Chambers of Henrico, VA died suddenly on March 17, 2018. She was born on October 1, 1988 at the Naval Hospital in Charleston, SC to Glenda Chambers. She was raised in Summerville, SC by her loving parents, Glenn and Sandra Chambers and her extended family. Surrounded by her brothers, Glen Jr., Tommy, and Chris, Amber loved sleepovers at her Grandma June’s with her aunts Brenda, Jennifer, and Heather. Amber loved singing, dancing, and hanging out with her friends and family. She was always ready to help anyone. Following high school, Amber helped nurse her father, Glenn, through his terminal illness. After his death, Amber moved up to Springfield, VA. She lived with her grandparents, Jim and Cynthia Chambers. Amber was determined to work for Wegmans and got her wish when she was hired at the Fairfax store.

She recognized that to achieve her goal she needed more life experiences. Amber joined the Army on October 31, 2011. She served with a medical unit that trained in Germany before deploying to Afghanistan. She was with the 173rd Airborne Regiment in Italy. In 2015, she was honorably discharged and returned to Northern VA. She rejoined her Wegmans family.
Amber loved opening new stores and helping others train and grow at Wegmans. She relocated to Richmond for the Midlothian store. She was looking forward to becoming the pastry manager.

To my Dearest Sister and friend! I love having in my life and enjoyed the awesome memories we made. Thank you for taking me under your mothering wing. I laugh and cry everyday since I don’t get to her your laugh, or seeing your constant stare to get me back in line, or your jokes about how similar our families are….wow just to know you! I won’t forget the times you had my back when I was too proud to admit I needed help or someone to talk to. You told me that you got my back and I can feel your presence around me! I’ll always love you Amber “Ams” “Sis” “Momma” always my sister and friend! Until we meet again!!!

Rest In Peace Amber Chambers. You were an inspiration, friend, and in many ways our company mom. You took care of all of us and taught us what empathy, love, commitment, and leadership truly meant. I have no doubt that you will continue to watch over us. I am forever grateful for your dedication and passion to put others before yourself. We are all better people for having known you. The LIFELINE Family will love and remember you forever. Till we meet again on the other side. SKYSOLDIERS!!!
