Obituary

Annemarie V. Kline (Lovingly Known as Anci) was gracious and compassionate. She was a very kind and generous lady and loved by everyone who met her. On Sunday, February 11, 2018, Annemarie reunited with her late husband Edward, daughter Maryagnes, her mother Mary, father Ferdinand, sister Bernie, and many other fortunate souls who are now in her company. Those of us left behind will remember her beautiful voice and the songs she sang. The center of her world was her family. She leaves daughters Nancy, Jane, and Johanna, her grandchildren Genevieve, Nanette, and Laura-Camille, and dear sister Lydia. She always remembered birthdays, loved the arts, had a kind, light-hearted spirit, and was courageous until the end. She was brave and willing, but her body could not keep up. We will continue to love as she loved, live the life she taught us to live, be generous to those less fortunate, and speak of her kind and humble heart often.

There are many people the daughters wish to thank for the kindness shown their mother. While it is not possible to list them all, Ashley and Dr. Hirsch receive first mention. Without them, we wouldn’t have had the last few years together with our mother. Also, the incredibly kind people at St. Augustine’s Catholic Church who prayed for her and chauffeured her to various appointments, and the good Lord who gave us this beautiful woman as our mother.

It was Annemarie’s wish that we not hold a memorial service or funeral. Instead, she asked that her ashes be joined with those of her dear husband and scattered to the wind so their journey will continue together. Ed and Annemarie were volunteers for the food bank at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Jacksonville, FL for many years. We ask that, in lieu of flowers, please send a donation in their memory to the Mandarin Food Bank, St. Joseph’s Catholic Church at 11730 Old Saint Augustine Road, Jacksonville, FL 32258.
