Obituary

Barbara Lankford Spence, 100, of Chesterfield, VA went to be with the Lord on Friday, June 20, 2025. She was born on March 26, 1925, in Norfolk, VA to Louis and Thelma Lankford. Barabara was preceded in death by her husband, Perry Spence; daughter, Judith Clark; and two brothers. Barbara is survived by her daughter, Barabara Elizabeth Morris; son, Kevin Spence (Janet); 6 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren, and 9 great-great-grandchildren. The family will receive guests from 6:00-8:00 pm on Friday, June 27 at Morrissett Funeral & Cremation Service, 6500 Iron Bridge Rd., N. Chesterfield, VA 23234. A second visitation will be held from 10:00-11:00 am on Saturday, June 28 with her funeral service to follow at 11:00 am at Branch’s Baptist Church, 3400 Broad Rock Blvd., Richmond, VA 23234. Her interment will follow at Branch’s Baptist Church Cemetery. The family would like to make a special thanks to her hospice nurse, Elizabeth Wilson and caregiver, Keishawda Terry.
