Obituary

O’Neil, Bobbie Delene, 86, of Richmond, VA peacefully transitioned to heaven on Thursday, July 17, 2025. She was born on September 16, 1938 in Raleigh, NC to the late Bobbie Blowe and Bailey Daniels. Bobbie was preceded in death by her beloved husband of over 60 years, Elmer Maurice O’Neil; and son, Gerald Wayne Rawles.

She is survived by her children, Debbie Carter (Lee), Tammy Conner (Wendell), Ted Carter (Lisa), Edward O’Neil (Michelle), and Dennie Ellis (Barbara); grandchildren: Jennifer (Brandon), Caitlin (Austin), Kelsey (Chris), Daniel (Alexis), Cheyanne, Sloane, Reilly, Teddy (Brittani), Aaron (Tamiyah), Joe, Kaitlyn, Angel, Kimberly and Clinton; great – grandchildren: Nadia, DJ, Liam, Cayden, Conner, Waylon, Kameron, Makenzi, Aycen, Dakota, Skyler, and Dillon; she is also survived by her brother Darcey Daniels.

Her passion for making others look and feel their best shone through her work as a Beautician. Bobbie will be fondly remembered for her wonderful and loving personality along with her stylish fashion statements. She had a passion for her annual mother-daughters’ camping trips, shopping, cruises, bowling (Virginia Lady Allstars), Nascar, and supporting the Washington Redskins. Bobbie will be deeply missed by her family, friends, and all who have had the privilege of knowing her. Her legacy of kindness, dedication, laughter, and love for family will continue to live on in the hearts of those who were touched by her presence.

A visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. followed immediately by her service at 6:00 p.m. on Friday, July 25, 2025 at Morrissett Funeral & Cremation Service, 6500 Iron Bridge Road, N. Chesterfield, VA 23234. A private burial will be held on Saturday, July 26, 2025 in Suffolk, VA at Holly Lawn Cemetery.
