Obituary

With broken hearts, we announce the passing of Brooke Nicole Morton, 28, of Midlothian, Virginia, who left us far too soon on May 5, 2025.

Born on November 13, 1996, Brooke was the beloved daughter of Janet Taylor Morton and Jerry Henry Morton Jr., the loving sister of Amanda Elizabeth Morton (Brandon Kahn), Meagan Michelle Morton (Davon Woodley), and Lauren Taylor Morton (Jacob Coffman), and dog mom to Harley. Brooke is also survived by her beloved nieces, Natalie and Ashlynn Kahn and Elena & Effie Coffman; grandmothers, Jane Vandeloecht and Mildren Morton; and grandfather, George Taylor (Betty). She was preceded in death by her grandfather, Jerry Morton and step-grandfather, Vernon Vandeloecht.

Brooke was a proud high school graduate and worked as a dedicated server, known for her kind nature and bright smile. Brooke lived life with warmth and laughter. She loved playing softball, building with Legos, catching up on sleep, spending time with her friends, and taking trips to North Myrtle Beach with her family—a place she cherished. Her genuine spirit, sense of humor, and big heart left a lasting impact on everyone who knew her.

Though her time with us was short, Brooke’s memory will forever live on in the hearts of her family and friends.
