Obituary

Caecilie Weiss passed away November 2022 at the age of 92 in Richmond VA. She was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and friend. She was born in Friedersdorf, Germany in 1929, as one of eight children. She married in 1952, started her family and emigrated to the United States in 1956.

She is survived by her loving and devoted husband of 70 years, Arnold Weiss; her 4 children and their spouses, Helga(Randy) Nelson, Joachim (Bonnie) Weiss, Gilbert Weiss, Bernadette (Mark) Spell; 5 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren.

Caecilie was known as “Oma”(Grandma) for almost half of her life by those who loved her. She always made family her priority. But she also found time for many interests like cooking, baking, sewing, knitting, crocheting, embroidery, gardening, especially flowers, singing and dancing. She left a legacy of love and laughter and will be greatly missed.
