Obituary

Charles E. Williams Jr. passed away January 4, 2023. He was born January 2, 1940 to Charles E. Williams Sr. and Lucille Grace (Naggs) in Maryland. Upon graduation from high school, Charles immediately joined the United States Navy, where he worked his way up to becoming a Chief Machinist Mate and retired after 20 years of serving his country. In his spare time, Charles loved doing calligraphy and following his favorite baseball team – the Orioles. But above all, he loved his family and grandchildren.

 

Charles is preceded in death by his father, Charles E. Williams Sr.; his mother, Lucille Grace Naggs; and wife, Patricia Ann Williams. Left to cherish his memory include his children, Heather Williams, Deborah Harris, Eddie Williams, Chuck Williams, and Robin Renninger; 5 grandchildren, Malia Stainback, Zachary Harris, Dylan Cecil, MaKayla Orth, and LJ Baskerville; and 1 great-grandchild, Madison Stainback.

 

A visitation will be held from 6pm-8pm on Wednesday, January 11, 2023 at Morrissett Funeral and Cremation Service, 6500 Iron Bridge Road in N. Chesterfield. A service honoring Charles’ life will be held at the Amelia Veterans Cemetery chapel on Thursday, January 12, 2023 at 12pm. Condolences may be made at www.morrissett.com.
