Obituary

Koch, Charles Lewis, Sr., 89, of Richmond, went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, June 1, 2010. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Myrtle Koch. Surviving are his sons, Charles L. Koch, Jr. and his wife, Judy, Donald Lee Koch and his wife, Lujauna, and Christopher S. Koch; granddaughters, Katherine K. Salmon and her husband, Luke, and Megan E. Koch; step-granddaughter, Dawn B. Milton and her husband, Brian; step-great-grandchildren, Donald S. and Cameron W. Jarrell; numerous nieces and nephews, especially Louis Pierce, Jr. and Shirley Wilson; a dear and special friend, Mabel Wiseman. Mr. Koch was a WWII U.S. Army veteran, a member of the VFW and Stockton Memorial Baptist Church, and a retired construction supervisor with 38 years of service with C&P Telephone Company. Charles, in his spare time, enjoyed hunting and fishing, as well as being an avid gardener. The family will receive friends 2 to 4 pm and 6 to 8 pm on Friday at Morrissett Funeral Home, 6500 Iron Bridge Rd. (Rte. 10). His funeral service will be held 10 am on Saturday at the funeral home. Interment will follow at Dale Memorial Park.
