Obituary

Charlotte Hanna Appelman, 77, of Chesterfield, VA, passed away at home on Sunday May 29, 2022, surrounded by family following a bout with cancer. She was preceded in death by her mother Ila Featherstone and stepfather William T. Featherstone; as well as father, Albert F. Hanna; and brother, Kenneth Hanna. She is survived by her loving husband and eternal companion of 57 years, George Wayne Appelman; her devoted daughters, Susan Wiggins (Mark), Caryn Freiberg (Kevin), and Cheryl Hamilton (Mike); eleven grandchildren; and six great grandchildren. Charlotte was the best wife any man could possibly have. She raised three daughters with faith, discipline, and selfless devotion. She loved, spoiled, and was actively involved in the lives of her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Burial will be private. A memorial service will be held at 5 pm on June 7, 2022 at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 3541 Cogbill Road, North Chesterfield, VA 23234. Even when passing away is a blessing for a loved one, it is a sad time and we pray for peace and comfort for all of you.
