Obituary
Ernest Lee “Chic” Bradby, of N. Chesterfield (formerly of Charles City, VA) departed this life November 13, 2023. He was born July 14, 1974. Chic graduated from Charles City High School (class of 1992) and also attended Virginia State University (VSU). He joined Little Elam Baptist Church at an early age.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Vernell Miles Bradby; and brother, Greg Bradby.
Left to cherish his memory include his wife of 3 years, Rhea Miller Bradby; children, Jaelan, Taylor, Christian, Xavier, Kyla, and Shani; grandson, Celly; sisters, Casandra Bradby-King (Tony) and Bertha Bradby-Greene (Wayne); nieces and nephews and great-nieces; aunts and uncle; and a host of cousins and other relatives and friends.
Chic was an avid Dallas Cowboys and Los Angeles Lakers fan. He was very outgoing and loved his family and friends. He brought joy wherever he went. He also enjoyed video games, music, and family gatherings. He also was an animal lover – especially his dog, Tarzan. Whenever he left, you could always count on him saying, “Luh ya!” Rhea was the love of his life and was his “person.”
A visitation will take place 1pm Sunday, November 19, 2023 at Morrissett Funeral and Cremation Service, 6500 Iron Bridge Road, N. Chesterfield, with a celebration of life following at 2pm. Interment will be private.
