Obituary

Christine Jenkins, 71, of Chesterfield, VA went to be with the Lord on Sunday, October 5, 2025, in Richmond, VA. She was born on September 17, 1954 in Charleston, South Carolina to the late Hoyt McKnight and Lois McKnight.

Christine is survived by her beloved husband, Joe Jenkins; daughter, Teresa Tedder (Johnny); son, Todd Jenkins (Cindy); sisters, Shelia Hardee (Rick), Kim Dover (Randy), and Teri Ulrich (Sam); brother, Alan “Bo” Hammock (Tina); granddaughters, Katelyn Marsh (Josiah), Alyssa Johnson (Garret), Madison Tedder, and Lesley Jenkins; grandsons, Trevor Jenkins and Cade Tedder; great granddaughter, Blakely Jenkins; and five nieces, three nephews, and extended family members.

Christine was deeply loved by many cherished friends. She was a faithful member of Oak Forest Baptist Church and formed lasting friendships through her church, her workplace, and from childhood.

Christine’s graveside service will be held on Friday, October 10, 2025 at 12pm, officiated by Pastor Mort, at Dale Memorial Park, 10201 Newbys Bridge Road, Chesterfield, VA 23832. A repass to follow immediately after her service at Oak Forest Baptist Church, 5101 Courthouse Road, Chesterfield, VA 23832.
