Obituary

Christopher Lee Castilliano Wilson, 43, a proud military veteran and devoted father, passed away on August 7, 2025 in Petersburg, VA. He was born on September 2, 1981in Manila, Philippines and was the beloved son of Leslie and Shirley Wilson.

Growing up in Hampton, VA, Christopher was known for his charming ways and comedic personality. His patriotism and desire to follow in his father’s footsteps led him to enlist in the United States Army after graduating from Hampton High School. He served honorably for 11 years, achieving the rank of Sergeant. During his service, he achieved many awards, commendation medals, and courageously deployed to Iraq supporting the Global War on Terrorism. He was the true definition of a Soldier who exemplified duty, courage, and dedication.

Following his military service, Christopher transitioned to civilian life, where his greatest role was that of a father. He cherished his children and was dedicated to creating a happy and loving environment for them. Family was his highest priority, and his unconditional love and support were a constant source of strength.

He is survived by his children, Jalyn Wilson, Anaya Wilson, Elijah Wilson and their mother Asia; Christopher Wilson, Chloe Wilson, and their mother Breanna; His parents, Leslie Wilson and Shirley Castilliano Wilson; Two brothers, Marc Wilson and Brandon Wilson and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins and friends who will miss him dearly.

He is preceded in death by Jean Wilson Rogers (grandmother), Elizabeth Bass Wilson (great grandmother), James Victor Wilson (great grandfather), Ernesto Mendoza Castillano (grandfather), Ricarda Guerrero Rombana-Castillano (grandmother).

Christopher’s legacy of service, humor, and boundless love for his family will forever be cherished by all who knew him. He was a hero to his country and an even greater hero to his children.
