Obituary

Cletus Wayne Greene, 87, of Midlothian, VA passed on Easter Sunday, April 9, 2023 at sunrise. Born December 4, 1935, he was the son of the late Hilary Sephus and Bessie Strader Greene.

Mr. Greene served in the Army National Guard of the Commonwealth of Virginia and as a reserve of the Army.  He was also a retired state employee from the Virginia Department for the Blind and Vision Impaired and retired from Texaco.

He is survived by his wife, Jacqueline M. Greene; daughter, Teresa Harnish (Rick); son, Darren Greene; son, Jeffrey Greene; granddaughter, Kristen Robbins (Richard); granddaughter, Amanda Greene; grandson, Devin Greene; great grandson, Jaxith Patteson; Sister, Joanne Forbes (Tommy); sister, Bessie Brooks; brother, Charles Greene (Connie); brother, Donald Greene (Barbara); and numerous nieces and nephews.

Mr. Greene was a hard worker all of his life, he loved his family who loved him so much in return. He made us all who we are today. We will miss his infectious laugh and smile. Until we meet again. 

On April 14, 2023, the visitation will be at 11:00 AM and the service at 12:00 PM.  Dale Brooks, Senior Pastor at Grove Park Chapel, NC, will officiate.  The visitation and service will be at Morrissett Funeral Home, 6500 Iron Bridge Road, N. Chesterfield, VA 23234.  Mr. Greene will be interred at Maury Cemetery in Richmond, VA.
