Obituary
Clifford Monroe Carnes Sr., 86, of Chesterfield, VA went to be with the Lord on Saturday, August 24, 2024. He was born on October 9, 1937 in Rome, Georgia to the late Edward Monroe and Irma Reeves Carnes. Clifford is also preceded by his wife, Carol Anne Carnes, and sisters, Camelia Yancey and Lauren Scantling.
He is survived by his children, Clifford Monroe Carnes, Jr., Conrad Michael Carnes, and Chantal Marie Carnes, his daughter-in-law Sheila Carnes, and grandchildren Caleb, Thabit, Colby, Hemza, Olivia, Sarah, Chloe, Carina, and Christian, and soon to be great grandchild, Caroline Marie, brother, Chester Carnes, and numerous nieces, nephews.
A gathering will be held from 4:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. with a memorial service to follow immediately at 5:00 p.m. on Saturday, August 31, 2024, at Morrissett Funeral & Cremation Service, 6500 Iron Bridge Road, North Chesterfield, VA 23234.
In addition to flowers, the family asks that contributions be made to the Alzheimer’s Foundation.
