Obituary

Colin Ross Scruggs touched all of his family and friends in immeasurable ways and departed life too soon on Sunday, February 18, 2018. Colin is survived by his beloved dog and companion, Cleadus; mother and best friend, Valerie Kilby; father, Cris Scruggs (Cindy); brother, Conner Scruggs; half-brother, Christopher (Jessica) Scruggs; stepbrother, Heath Morris; and grandmother, Bobbe Scruggs. He is also survived by numerous loving family members and loyal and very close friends. A celebration of life will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, February 24, at Morrissett Funeral and Cremation Service, 6500 Iron Bridge Rd., N. Chesterfield, VA 23234. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in his name to the Richmond SPCA at 2519 Hermitage Road, Richmond, VA 23220. Colin is now fishing with his Peepaw and Grandy.

  1. Chris, Val and family – I am so sorry for your loss! I am in shock! I remember Colin as an amazing child! He was very special to me as is the whole family!! My thoughts and prayers are with you all! My love to each of the family!

  2. To the family and friends of Colin, his heartfelt laughter,constant smile and overwhelming love of life was present everyday. His calling home so unexpectedly brings sadness to all but please find peace in knowing he is now catching the ones that once got away, Fish On Colin, your crew from Southeastern Marine.
