He is survived by his son and daughter-in-law, David Earl Bodsford and Deborah Ann Bodsford; grandchildren, Sarah Tyndall (Stephen), Joseph Bodsford, Allison Kane (Jason), and Emily Bodsford; great grandchildren, Paxton and Maxwell Tyndall, Harrison and Mason Bodsford, Annabelle Kane, Blake Hatfield; brother, Robert Bodsford; sister-in-law, Ruth Bodsford; several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Conley graduated from John Marshall High School of 1951. After high school, he entered The Electrical Apprenticeship Program and joined IBEW Local 666 and was a loyal union member serving as president for an extended period of time. After retirement he served as President of the IBEW Retirees Club.

Conley and his beloved wife Bettie Mae were active members of Branch’s Baptist Church for 32 years, after moving to Powhatan, VA he joined May Memorial Baptist Church where he served for 22 years as a Deacon and Sunday school teacher.

Conley was an active member of ACCA Shrine serving as Major of the Provost Guard. He was a 32nd degree member of Chesterfield Masonic Lodge 161, later to be merged into Manchester Lodge 14.

Conley loved his God, his family, and his church. He enjoyed his friends and was always willing to help, especially if it was an “electrical” repair), golf, fishing, the beach, and most things to eat that were sweet.

As a child of the depression, his life story is one of success, joy and helping others. We are sure it continues even now in Heaven.
