Obituary
Curtis Lester Spitler, 90, of N. Chesterfield, VA went to be with the Lord on Sunday, July 20, 2025. Born on February 9, 1935, in Rockbridge County, VA to Robert C. Spitler and Ela Anna Clark Spitler. He was preceded in death by his wife, Lillian Spitler and his second wife, Edna Spitler; brother, Robert Spitler; and step-daughters, Jean Hall and Rachel McAbee.
Curtis is survived by his brother, Raymond Spitler (Beth); step-grandson, Rick Hall (Katherine); step-granddaughter, Jennifer Brown (Mark); stepdaughter, Debbie Glass (Roy), Cynthia Moore (John), and Gene McAbee (Kathy). He is also survived by numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends from 11:00 am-12:00 pm with Curtis’ funeral service to follow at 12:00 pm on Friday, August 1 at Morrissett Funeral & Cremation Service, 6500 Iron Bridge Rd., N. Chesterfield, VA 23234. The graveside service will follow at 1:30 pm Sunset Memorial Park, 2901 W. Hundred Rd., Chester, VA 23831. The funeral service will be streamed on the Morrissett website. Thank you Curtis for being a great friend to mom and dad. It was a honor to have known you and a blessing to be with you in the end. I enjoyed seeing you every week when Dad was on his journey. I enjoyed the smile on your face when we fixed your mower. You were so happy that day. You will be missed.

Curtis always had a smile. Visiting the shut ins with Don Reed was so greatly appreciated during New Covenant Days. Curtis will be missed by many.
