Obituary

David K. Fowlkes, 58, of Chesterfield, went to be with his Lord on Monday, February 5, 2018. He was preceded in death by his father, Earl Fowlkes, and his mother-in-law, Sandy Sherwood. He is survived by his wife, Patty Fowlkes; mother, Jean Fowlkes; children, Jamie Coleman and Adam Fowlkes (Kristin); brother, Rev. Dr. Earl Fowlkes (Terri); sisters, Linda Smoker (Steve), Stephanie Konicki (Craig), and Debbie Francisco (Kenny); and his grandson, Carter. David retired from Chesterfield County as a mail carrier after more than 20 years of service. The family would like to thank the staff and nurses at Amelia Nursing and Rehab for their love and care of David over the last three years. The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. on Thursday, February 8, 2018, at Morrissett Funeral and Cremation Service, 6500 Iron Bridge Rd. (Rt. 10). His funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. on Friday at Clover Hill Baptist Church, 3100 Courthouse Rd. Interment will follow at Branch’s Baptist Church Cemetery.
