In 1972, as a recent high school graduate, I initially met Debra on the BSU campus. She was confident, friendly, and sharp-witted. Over the years, I have referred to Debra as a true friend who has grown to become a part of my “family” as a result of our shared experiences. We experienced campus life together and remained close friends even after moving to separate states, traveling to different countries, acquiring full-time careers, meeting our future husbands, getting married, raising children, and approaching full retirement. Although Debra’s time on earth came to an end, I will always cherish these memories forever.

I knew Debra from Second Baptist Church. We worked on the scholarship committee together. Debra was a diligent and committed worker. I will miss her deep voice and bright smile. May she rest in peace knowing she was loved.
