Obituary

Dell Wayne Dodson, 77, peacefully passed away September 23, 2022. He was born June 1, 1945 in Jacksonville, FL and joined the Navy, where he served 4 years during the Vietnam War. He attended the University of Central Florida where he received his Bachelor of Science. He was a supervisor for Red Lobster for 34 years. In retirement, he became a Master Gardener for Chesterfield County. Dell was a member of St. Augustine Catholic Church for 40 years. He enjoyed fly fishing, tying flies, and shooting skeet. Dell was married to Pam for 57 years, had 6 children, and 10 grandchildren and 3 bonus grandchildren.

 

Dell was preceded in death by his 3-year-old grandson, Connor Dodson. Left to cherish his memory include his wife, Pam Dodson; sons, Dell “Bo” Jr., Reid (Caroline), Jason (Valerie); daughters, Tiffany (Steve), Teague (Greg), Kira (Michael); grandchildren, Sam (Paxton), Delaney, Kennison, Kai, Coralei, Dylan, Wyatt, Mallory, Maura, Gretchen, Helen, and Faye; and 2 brothers, their families, as well as extended family members and friends.

A Mass of Resurrection will be held on Friday, September 30, 2022 at 6 pm at St. Augustine Catholic Church on Beulah Road.
