Obituary

Dennis Brewer, 56, of Henrico, VA, went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, June 29, 2022. He was preceded in death by his grandparents; and his two dearly loved dogs, Jinx and Charley. Dennis is survived by his beloved wife, Karen Swansey-Brewer; parents, Barbara and CB Breeden, Paul and Barbara Brewer; two sisters, Deborah and Wayne Hill, Renee and Rev. Mack Taylor; brother, Dr. Timothy and Kim Breeden; two daughters, Jessica Brewer, Candace and Richard Rudd; Son, Tyler Swansey; two granddaughters, Jaida and Jailynn Rudd.

He was an Iron Worker for nine years and was part of the Local 28 Iron Workers Union. After leaving iron working, he worked as a carpenter before retiring after 20+ years. He was an avid Dallas Cowboys fan, enjoyed being on his boat and fishing, playing guitar and singing karaoke, and being with family and friends celebrating life.

The family will receive friends from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm on Saturday, July 2, 2022, at Morrissett Funeral & Cremation Service, 6500 Iron Bridge Road. His funeral service will be at 1:00 pm on Saturday, July 2, 2022. Following the service, please join the family in the reception hall at Morrissett Funeral and Cremation Service. In lieu of flowers the family suggests that memorial contributions may be made to American Cancer Association.
