Obituary

Diane C. Pearson, 77, of Chesterfield, Va. escaped Alzheimer”™s on Wednesday, April 14, 2021. She is preceded in death by her father and mother, Ernest and Gussie Caskey; loving husband, Harold Dean Pearson; and brothers, Tim and Tommy Caskey. She is survived by her son, Christopher (Michelle) Pearson, granddaughters, Pauline Spencer, Nora Pearson; grandson, Atticus Pearson; and brother Larry (Linda) Caskey. Diane was a lively, free soul and loved being with people. She apparently had little regard for public embarrassment and the fun she had was infectious. She never met a stranger and loved her family, friends, and co-workers”¦and dogs; probably dogs more than them. She is so thankful for being done with this sucky Alzheimer”™s crap and apologizes for all the fights she started in the memory unit- she still doesn”™t believe it was her. She wanted to tell you to make sure that you vote, treat people like you”™ve known them forever, and don”™t be douchey. She will be missed but has left quite a legacy she was never sure or aware of. Family will receive casually dressed friends for a time of gathering on Sunday, April 25 from 2 pm- 4 pm at Morrissett Funeral and Cremation Service, 6500 Iron Bridge Rd. N. Chesterfield, Va. 23234. . In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions be made in her name to Miko”™s Sanctuary, , https://www.mikossanctuary.org/our-mission

  1. We were so very sorry to learn about the passing of our best friend from childhood and all the years that followed. She was, indeed, a lifelong friend. We shared many good times together, and we knew if we were with Diane, there would be lots of laughter, often uninhibited craziness (especially after MYF on Sunday nights!), and just plain old good fun. We loved Diane like a sister. She was a bridesmaid in our wedding, and we managed to stay in touch until just the last year or so. We will be listening for her infectious laugh and don’t think it will be hard to hear from above. We know it will be one of the best anyone in Heaven has ever heard and that she will have everyone there laughing along with her!

So sorry to learn of Diane’s passing – it sounds like her delightful personality, that I knew mostly from middle and high school, carried her through even the tough times. She was always able to be an encouragement to others and to be the one having the most fun! We met a few years ago when I was passing through Richmond and we enjoyed reminiscing about old times. She was a joy to know.

  3. I was very sad to hear of Diane’s passing until memories of her from the past turned my sadness into joy. You are surely going to miss her but you must have many happy memories of her, too. She was one of my classmates in school and we also attended church and youth group together. Diane was always a lot of fun but she also cared about other people and helped others. May you be comforted by the knowledge that she was such a delightful friend to so many people.

    God bless,
