Obituary
Donna Marny, 75, went to be with her husband on July 17, 2025, in North Chesterfield, VA.
Donna is survived her daughters, Cynthia Stevens (Ray) and Carolyn Marny (Richard); son, James Marny Jr. (Beth); brother, Roger Morgan (Myra); granddaughters, Donna Prince (Jon-Jon), Carie Marny (Jonathan), Brittany Cheely (Sonny), Tiffany Stevens (Colin), Maxine Marny, and Hailey Scott; grandsons, Richie Scott (Missy), Damon Peregoy, Peyton Marny, and Rylan Austin; eleven great-grandchildren, and one great-great grandchild.
She is preceded in death by her spouse, James Marny Sr.; and her parents, Rayford Morgan and Kathleen Morgan.
Donna deeply cherished time spent with her family, often joining in on adventures—even the occasional fishing trip, despite her initial reluctance. A devoted animal lover, she is survived by her beloved wiener dog, Little Dude. Donna had a passion for collecting figurines, especially lighthouses, dolphins, and tigers, which brought her great joy. She shared many miles and memories on the road with her late husband, a long-haul truck driver, often accompanying him on cross-country trips alongside their beloved dog, Nikkie.
A visitation for Mrs. Donna Marny will be held on Wednesday, July 23rd, from 6:00 pm – 8:00 pm at Morrissett Funeral & Cremation Service, 6500 Iron Bridge Rd, N. Chesterfield, VA 23234. Mrs. Donna Marny’s celebration of life will be held the following day, Thursday, July 24th, beginning at 10:30 am at Morrissett with a graveside service at Dale Memorial Park, 10201 Newbys Bridge Rd, Chesterfield, VA 23832 starting at 12:00 pm.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made in Donna’s name to James River Hospice.
