Obituary

Dora Spencer Lavy, 79, went to be with the Lord on Friday, July 21, 2023. She was preceded in death by her husband, Frank V. Lavy, Jr. and parent, John Spencer. Dora is survived by her mother, Vida Spencer; children, Anne L. Wild (Martin) and Steven C. Lavy; grandchildren, Joshua, Brian, Andrew and Gunnar Wild; sister-in-law, Carolyn Spencer; nephew, Shawn Spencer; niece, Melissa Spencer; and great-nephew, Liam Spencer.

A visitation will be held from 2:00-4:00 pm on Sunday, July 30 at Morrissett Funeral & Cremation Service, 6500 Iron Bridge Rd., N. Chesterfield, VA 23234. Dora’s funeral service will be held at 1:00 pm on Monday, July 31 at Southside Church of the Nazarene, 6851 Courthouse Rd. Chesterfield, VA 23832. Interment to follow at Dale Memorial Park.     So very sorry to hear about the loss of your dear and precious mom, daughter, and grandmother, but certainly heavens gain!

    Words cannot express the love ❤️ my dear aunt and uncle Byron and Virginia Marny shared with each other over the many years.

    We have known and loved ❤️your precious mom, daughter, and grandmother, for many years as well.

    I will always remember that Your mom always had a smile on her face, love ❤️ in her heart for everyone.

    Needless to say, she will be sorely missed and loved ❤️ by all who had the privilege to know her.

    So happy for her that she is in heaven, when she is no longer suffering.
