Obituary
Doris Wiglesworth Ferguson, 88, of Chesterfield, is now living with Jesus as of Tuesday, March 27, 2018. She is survived by her beloved husband of 54 years, Rupert S. Ferguson; brother, Robert Gray ‘R.G.’ Wiglesworth (Carol); ‘daughter’ nieces, Karen Taylor Davis and Denise Taylor Walters, as well as many other loving nieces and nephews. Doris was preceded in death by her parents Margaret Lowman and Welford ‘Bud’ Wiglesworth, Sr.; sister, Joyce W. Lett; brother, Welford ‘Burt’ Wiglesworth, Jr. Mrs. Ferguson was an elementary school teacher in Richmond, Kempsville, and Chesterfield, where she loved all the children she taught. The family will receive friends 3 to 5 p.m. on Easter Sunday at Morrissett Funeral & Cremation Service, 6500 Iron Bridge Rd. (Rte. 10). Her funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Monday at the funeral home. Internment will follow at Dale Memorial Park. The family suggests that memorial contributions be considered to Branch’s Baptist Church, 3400 Broad Rock Blvd. Richmond, VA 23234, where Doris was a life-long member.

Mr. Ferguson and family, Im so sorry to hear about Doris’s death. She is with Jesus now and she was such a beautiful and talented lady. I know you will miss her but just know she is at rest and in the arms of Jesus. 54 years of marriage that so wonderful. You were such a wonderful couple and you have so many memories and I so admired both of you.love,Marie
