Obituary

Wilson, Dorothy Kinton, 93, of Richmond, clasped the Lord’s hand on April 28, 2018. She was the daughter of James ‘Jim’ and Mertie Kinton of Chesterfield; and was preceded in death by her husband of over 60 years, Elmer Wilson. She is survived by her daughter, Evelyn Horner (Arnold); granddaughter, Kelsey Parrish; great-grandchildren, David and Madelynn; brother, Edward Kinton; nephew, Phillip; and niece, Susan. Dorothy enjoyed sewing, canning, and gardening on the ‘Dottie Mae Farm.’ She was active in her church, serving on various committees through the years. The family would like to acknowledge the faithful attention given to Dorothy by Leida Rodrigues and Betty Mann, whose care greatly enhanced her life. Visitation is 1 p.m. at Second Branch Baptist Church, 12217 Second Branch Rd., Chesterfield, VA 23838. A celebration of life service officiated by the Rev. Dr. Roger Collier and the Rev. Mac Jordan will follow at 2 p.m. Interment is at Sunset Memorial Park, 2901 West Hundred Rd., Chester, VA 23831. A reception will be held at the church following interment.
