Obituary

Dorothy Pearson, 96, of North Chesterfield, entered eternity on Monday, May 2, 2022.  She is survived by her sister, Anna Browder Snelling; nephew, Dr. Mike Browder; niece, Dr. Diane Browder-Boswell; nephew Charles Browder; step-daughter, Betty Brenner; step-son Kenneth Pearson; and a number of nieces and nephews.  Dorothy was widowed of her husbands Algy Pearson and Jesse Grant.  Her parents were Anna Bergh and Charles Edward Ficke. Dorothy was an assistant buyer at Miller& Rhoads for more than forty years, and she volunteered in the giftshop at Chippenham Hospital for more than a decade. She was a lifetime member of Sherbourne United Methodist Church and had served as financial secretary. Dorothy was a home body and lived on the same land her entire life.  Her funeral service will be held 11:00 am on Monday, May 9, 2022, at Morrissett Funeral & Cremation Service, the family will receive friends one hour prior at 10:00.  A brief interment will follow, 1:30pm at Riverview cemetery in Richmond.  In lieu of flowers, the family ask that memorial contributions be made to Sherbourne United Methodist Church.
