Edward Douglas Braudrick, 82, of N. Chesterfield, VA, went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, January 25, 2022. Doug was preceded in death by his mother, Myrtle Virginia Braudrick; father, Edward Milton Braudrick. He is survived by his beloved wife of 60 years, Rebecca Burnett Braudrick; two daughters, Teresa Braudrick Peckens (Paul), Renee LaNette Barber (Noel); three granddaughters, Bailey Barber Knight (Tristan), Alissa Marie Barber, Jessica Morgan Peckens; two grandsons, Ian Patrick Barber, Braudrick Scott Peckens; and a close family friend, Vickie Brumfield. After graduating from John Marshall High School in 1958, he joined the Navy where he served for six years. Doug retired from State Farm Insurance after 37 years. Despite retiring, he greatly missed his clients that he insured. Following retirement, he enjoyed playing golf, his computer games, and spending time with friends and family at Myrtle Beach. Services will be private.  In lieu of flowers the family suggests that memorial contributions may be made to Colonial Heights Food Pantry (https://colonialheightsfoodpantry.humanitru.com/donate?tribute=true&ach=true&address=optional).

  1. On behalf of the Beck family our heartfelt, sincere condolences.

  2. So sorry to hear about Doug’s passing. Please know you will be in my prayers at this difficult time.

  3. No words can express our sadness upon hearing about Doug. We have so many great family memories as friends and neighbors growing up with Doug, Becky, Teresa, and Renee in our lives. I especially think back to my dad’s wonderful friendship and business partnership with Doug and how much he meant to dad. I really can’t think about him without thinking of Doug.
My wife Pat and I, as well as my brother Gary, send our love and prayers to Becky, Teresa, Renee and their families. May the Lord bless you with strength and peace.
