Obituary
Allen, Edward D. “Ed”, 98, of Midlothian, VA passed away on Tuesday September 10, 2024. He was a retired Boat Dealer, of Ed’s Marine in Richmond and Ashland. He was a retired Chesterfield County Magistrate.
He was preceded in death by his son, Edward D. Allen, Jr. He is survived by his devoted wife, Janet; his daughters, Fay Wilcox (Bobby) and Kay Harrison (Jeff); grandchildren, Mike, Tripp, Tracy, and Kim; and eight great grandchildren.
In his younger years he played guitar with a number of local bands. He loved rabbit hunting and fishing. He was a member of Central Baptist Church, American Legion Post 186 and 40 & 8, a member of Manchester Moose Lodge, VPBA, the Navy League U.S., and Chesapeake Bay Foundation.
The family will receive friends on Thursday, September 19, 2024 from 11:00 am to 12:00 pm with a funeral service to follow immediately at 12:00 pm at Central Baptist Church, 1500 Courthouse Road, Chesterfield, Virginia. Interment at The Virginia Veterans Cemetery at Amelia.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that memorial contributions be made to the Virginia Department of Veterans Services.

I was so saddened to hear of Ed’s passing, I always looked forward to his visits to the salon and will miss him. My sincere condolences to all who loved him
