Obituary

Eli Walter Aaron Clark was born on June 22, 2016.   He was born in Fort Payne, Alabama.  Eli spent the first 6 weeks in the hospital where he started his courageous fight and soon after was placed in the loving care of Boyd and Stacey Rogers, where, along with their three children, Caleb Rogers, Grace Mallory, and Elijah Rogers, they provided him with a loving and nurturing home.  In March of 2019, Eli was placed in the loving home of Scott and Melissa Clark, of Chesterfield, VA.  On December 17, they adopted him as one of their own.  Eli had a smile that would light up the darkest room and a laugh that was so contagious that it would make even the grumpiest person crack a smile.  He went through more than most adults and did it with such bravery.  His best friend was his service dog, Koda.  He loved all types of music, doing “Bible Time” with daddy and mommy, talking to God and could watch the Blue Angels on YouTube for hours.  Through his struggles, he served the Lord in his own special way, till the very end.   Eli departed from this world on July 17, 2025.   Free from all the restrictions that his earthly body had placed on him, he is now free, free indeed, in the arms of our loving Savior.

He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Don Clark, grandmother, Althea Clark (Grammy) on his paternal side and Robert Newton on his maternal side.    He is survived by his parents, Scott and Melissa Clark, foster parents, Boyd and Stacey Rogers, foster siblings, Caleb, Grace, and Elijah, and his grandmother Ella Newton (Nana) (maternal).
