Obituary

Emily Rogers Browning, 100, of Chester, VA went to be with the Lord on Monday, January 19, 2026, in Chesterfield, VA. She was born on May 10, 1925 in Alleghany County, Virginia to the late Ronald B. Rogers and Virginia Hanora Rogers. She is preceded in death by her beloved husband of 50 years, Clyde Preston Browning; sisters, Christine Johnson and Virginia Brabrand; and brother, Roy Riisguard.

Emily is survived by her daughters, Anita Gail Casto (James) and Donna B. Ells (George); grandchildren: Jennifer Potter (David), Rebecca Riley (Corey), Alan Ells, and Graham Ells; great grandchildren: Greg Potter (Megan), Davis Potter, Grady Potter, and Grayson Riley; and great great granddaughters, Greer Potter and Emmaleigh Bottoms.

The family will receive friends from 11:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. followed by her service at 12:00 p.m. on Friday, January 30, 2026, at Morrissett Funeral & Cremation Service, 6500 Iron Bridge Road, North Chesterfield, VA 23234. Fellowship following the service at the funeral home. Interment to be private at Forest Lawn Cemetery.
