Obituary

Eugene Fulton Catlett, 81, of Midlothian, VA went to be with the Lord on Friday, June 9, 2023. He was born on March 6, 1942, in Virginia to the late John William and Eva Mae Catlett. He is also preceded in death by his beloved wife of 48 years, Nancy Vaught Catlett; sisters, Matte Nelms, Mary Frances Lipsomb, and Glenda Doyle; and brother, Jimmy Catlett. He is survived his sons, Daryl Catlett and Dave Vaught; granddaughter, Ruby Vaught; and sister, Joyce Plott. The family will receive friends and family from 12:30 pm to 2:30 pm on Thursday, June 15, 2023, at Morrissett Funeral & Cremation Service, 6500 Iron Bridge Road, North Chesterfield, VA 23234. A graveside service will be held at 3:00 pm on Thursday, June 15, 2023, at Dale Memorial Park, 10201 Newby’s Bridge Road, Chesterfield, VA 23832.  In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorial contributions in his name be made to The Lung Cancer Association.

  3. We have such good memories from our encounters with Gene. We’re so sorry for your family’s loss in his passing, he was a genuine and good man. We are worse off for losing him on this earth, but we are happy to know he is at peace and home with the Lord. We are happy to have known and been able to serve your family.
