Obituary

Felicia Rice, 63, of South Chesterfield, VA, gained her Heavenly wings on Friday, September 2, 2022. She was preceded in death by her father, Charles Aubrey Hockaday. Felicia is survived by her beloved husband of 39 years, Joseph Raymond Rice; mother, Koba Hockaday; three brothers, Randall Hockaday (Teresa), Wendell Hockaday (Michelle), and Kendall Hockaday (Stephanie); two sons, Jeremy Rice (Justine), Kent Hockaday (Crystal); daughter, Kara Galluzzo (Chris); She was ‘YeYe’ to two granddaughters, Taylor Hockaday, and Kalyn Hockaday; three grandsons, Gavin Galluzzo, Jase Rice, and Tucker Rice.

She enjoyed the beach, camping, reading, and was an incredible cook. Felicia was a vital part of our family and will be so missed.

The family will receive friends from 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm on Monday, September 12, 2022, at Morrissett Funeral & Cremation Service (6500 Iron Bridge Rd.) with her memorial service to follow at 2:00 pm. In lieu of flowers the family suggests that memorial contributions may be made to Elkhardt Baptist Church, 6715 Hull Street Road North Chesterfield, VA 23224.

    I only met Felicia a handful of times through my father-in-law while visiting him from Texas. We were instant friends, she was a very giving and caring person. She has touched a lot of lives, including my family’s. We send our condolence’s to her family and friends. She will be very much missed.
