Obituary

Fletcher Cooke, 82, passed away on April 4, 2026.

Fletcher was an attorney specializing in elder law with the Crater District Area Agency on Aging (CDAAA). He loved traveling, the outdoors, live sports, good food and drink, music, art, and poetry. His love of travel took him all across the globe, visiting places like France, Peru, Scotland, England, and Quebec. An avid sports fan, he enjoyed being a part of the action. Whether that was going to Wrigley Field to see the Cubs, or catching the Richmond Flying Squirrels at a home game. He had a joy for life and was known to be kind to everyone he met.

Fletcher is survived by his daughters, Tandy (Christopher) and Darcy, his fiancée Carmen Williams, her children, Michelle and Jeanette Williams, his cousins, Molly, Suzanne, and John Grimsley, and his grandson, Jack Boynton.

Fletcher is preceded in death by his parents, Ellis and Vella Cooke, and his sister, Judith Cooke.

A visitation for Fletcher will be held on Friday, April 17, from 11:00 AM – 1:00 PM at Morrissett Funeral and Cremation Service, 6500 Iron Bridge Road, North Chesterfield, VA 23234, followed by a graveside service beginning at 2:00 PM at Southlawn Memorial Park, 1911 Birdsong Road, Petersburg, VA 23805.
