Obituary

Florence R. Pronobis, 70, of Chesterfield, unexpectedly passed away on December 19, 2013. She was preceded in death by her parents, Edward Thomas Pronobis of Chicago, IL, and Elsie Pronobis of Ocracoke, NC; and sisters, Susan and Beverly Jean. She is survived by a cousin in North Carolina and relatives in Chicago and Kansas. Florence retired, after 47 years, from SunTrust Bank. She became a member of the Beach Community Grange, where she helped with many charitable events. Florence loved children and especially loved to spoil the children and grandchildren of her close friends. She was more than a friend to the Donathan family, especially Sydney; she was a member of our family. If you were blessed to have known Florence and her sister Susan, you would know how close they were to each other. While Florence leaves behind many broken hearts and will be greatly missed, we take comfort in knowing that she has been reunited with her family in Heaven. Her final resting place will be at the Ocracoke Community Cemetery in North Carolina. Friends will gather from 4 to 5 p.m. on Saturday, January 4, 2014, at Morrissett Funeral & Cremation Service, 6500 Iron Bridge Road (Rte. 10). A memorial celebration service of her life will follow at 5 p.m. Following the memorial services, everyone is invited to gather for food and fellowship at the Beach Community Grange. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her name to the Beach Community Grange at P.O. Box 2934, Chesterfield, VA 23838.
