Obituary

Kraget, George K., we are saddened to announce the passing of George K. Kraget, 75, of Chesterfield on Tuesday, April 19, 2011. He was preceded in death by his parents, George Kerejain Kraget and Minda Allen Kraget; daughter, Rebecca Kraget; siblings, Margaret Hall, Tina Houle, and William Kraget. He leaves to cherish his memory his wife, Norma Jean Garman Kraget; son, George Kerry Kraget and wife, Donna Floyd; daughter, Amy Kraget Lucie; grandchildren, Gloria Faye Seda and husband, Shawn, Katherine Kendall, Alexis Lucie, Misty Lynn Styer, Brian, and Adam Floyd; great-grandchildren, Trevor Styer and Kilani Jordan and Papa’s special buddies, great-grandson, Noah Seda and Kody Bear; sisters, Natalie Osborne (Harold) and Dorothy Morgan; brothers, John O. Kraget (Gaynelle) and Charles R. Kraget (Linda); numerous nieces and nephews. George was a graduate of Thomas Dale High School, class of 1956, was a masonry contractor, general contractor, developer, and found his calling with custom cabinets and millwork. His hobbies included farming, gardening, hunting, and fishing. He honorably served as a marksman with the National Guard. The family will receive friends from 1 to 3 pm and 6 to 8 pm Thursday at the Morrissett Funeral Home, 6500 Iron Bridge Rd. (Rte. 10). His funeral service will be held 2 pm Friday at the funeral home. Interment to follow in Sunset Memorial Park, Chester, VA.
