Obituary
George Vann, 79, of Richmond VA, originally from Micro, NC passed on November 3, 2022.
He was born on August 17, 1943 to the late Clyde and Lillie Mae Vann. He is preceded in death by his wife, Wygonda Bunn Vann “Tootsie;” brother, Arthur Wayne Vann; son, George Howard Vann Jr.; and great nephew, Tyler Vann Peedin.
George was a painter and artist at heart. He was an avid golfer and a friend to many. He is survived by brother-in-law, Wade Bunn and his wife Jean; sister-in-law, Patsy Vann; nieces, Pam Peedin (Alvin), Patty Jo Norris (Clay), Rita Horton, Renee Batts (John), Lisa Bunn, and Amy Hine (Will); great nephews, Adam Peedin (Katlyn), Matthew Peedin (Adriana), Patrick Norris (Hannah), Walker Norris (Liberty), and Braxton Hine; great-niece, Camryn Hine; and great-great nephew, Banks Peedin. George is also survived by many cousins, extended family friends, and church family.
The family would like to extend special thanks to Tod Bigley, Ron Hepp, Ken Simmons, and Arthur for their friendship and kindness!
A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, November 15, 2022, at 11 a.m. located at Dale Memorial Park, 10201 Newbys Bridge Road, Chesterfield VA. 23832. Condolences may be left for the family at www.morrissett.com.

I helped take care of Mr. Vann during his stay at the Laurels. He was a very sweet man and I enjoyed our talks. I surely miss him. My sincere sympathies go out to the family. Julie

I was Howard’s next door neighbor for more than 30 years. He was a good neighbor and a pillar of the neighborhood. There were many conversations held at the fence. He will be missed. Memories are a way through these times of sorrow. My condolences to the family and may the peace of Christ be with you.
