Obituary
Ginesa (Craig) Madar (1967-2025)
Ginesa Madar, 57, of Chesterfield, VA, died on Tuesday, January 7, 2025. She was born in Battle Creek, Michigan to Thomas and Ginesa Craig, and grew up there during her childhood with her five sisters. Ginesa attended Pennfield High School before studying Business Administration and Management at Central Michigan University, before going to work and retiring from Military Resale Solutions as a Business Account Manager.
Ginesa was preceded in death by her father, Thomas Craig; her father-in-law, John Madar; and her sister-in-law, Susan Madar. She is survived by her husband, John Madar; her daughters, Sydney Gworek (Keith Gworek) and Kendal Madar; her mother, Ginesa Craig; her five sisters, Eli Case (Todd Case), Monie Walters (John Walters), Paqui Kelly (Brian Kelly), Rosie Burrill (Joe Burrill), and Mary Armstrong (Steve Armstrong); and many nieces, nephews, friends, and loved ones.
The visitation will be held on Sunday, January 12, 2025 from 5:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. for immediate and close family only, and from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. for friends and the public at Morrissett Funeral & Cremation Service, 6500 Iron Bridge Rd, North Chesterfield, VA 23234.
The funeral mass will be held on Monday, January 13, 2025 at 12:00 p.m. at St Joseph Catholic Church, 151 W Washington Street, Petersburg, VA 23803. This will be followed by a Celebration of Life from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at The Reserve at the Highlands, 8136 Highland Glen Drive, Chesterfield, VA 23838
In lieu of flowers, donations to the ALS Association (https://www.als.org/get-involved/ways-give) would be greatly appreciated.
