Obituary

Gloria Janette Hart, of Chesterfield, went to be with the Lord on July 8, 2023. She was born on
April 22,1940 in Taylorsville, Ky. to Ruby Lee Hurst and Shelby Blaine Walls. She graduated
from Taylorsville High School in 1958. In 2009, Mrs. Hart retired from the Chesterfield County
Fire Department, where she served for 24 years. She was a servant to the community and a
servant of the Lord. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, aunt, and friend.
She is survived by four children, Todd Glass (Shelley), Dawana Lowry (Raymond), Steven Glass
(Chaeli) and Jon Hart (Rachéll). She is survived by a sister, Carolyn Whitaker, and two brothers,
Billy Walls, and Larry (Marilyn) Walls. She is survived by a brother-in-law, Gerald Hart (Jeanne).
She is survived by nine grandchildren, Michael Glass (Ashley), Corey Glass, Samantha Glass,
Brad Lowry, Matthew Lowry (Hayley), Rachel Lowry, Jon Wesley Hart,Jr., Samuel Hart, and
Jeremiah Glass; and three great-grandchildren, Vera Glass, Adalind Glass, and Wesley Glass.
Besides her parents, Mrs. Hart was preceded in death by her husband, Thurston Wesley Hart;
four sisters Roberta Walls, Catherine Walls, Delores Rogers, and Louise Kellams; and two
brothers Shelby L. Walls and J.B. Walls.
