Harold Mervin Aikey Tribute Memorial

  1. Bob and I (Sharon Manuwal Ekstrom) send our deepest sympathies. Slim and Maggie, as I knew them, were very much a part of my family through the years. I esp. remember the years we spent in Hawaii together in 1954 – 56. I have many happy memories of that time. My parents were very close friends of theirs and now they are all with the Lord. We all have a wonderful heritage and will someday have a grand reunion in heaven.

  2. To the Aikey Family:

So many memories of Uncle Slim and Aunt Maggie. I cried through the video because I could not be there. I will miss them both forever, but have the memories I will always cherish of our Athey visits to you many homes over the years, church services, bible camp, haircuts and perms, and the kind use of your home and hospitality whenever I was in the Mechanicsburg, PA area. Maggie sewed my daughter Kenna’s first “dressy” dress complete with ruffles and Slim always made me nervous when on a roof! Recently and Aikey from Milton PA was interviewed on our local WNEP station 16, and I thought of you all then and throughout the years. Peace be with you all. Truly a beautiful and loving family, blessed with talent and the ability to share their gifts from God with others.

  3. Pop Aikey, Thank you for your loving and caringsbout me and my family. I cherish the memories of great meals, your teaching me how to play games. I love your humor… I remember asking how you were doing? Your answer was just mildew.ing or fidgeting the ditches. I learned so much from you! I love you. See ya soon! Hugs forever you’ll always be in my heart?
