Obituary
Hazel Whitby, 80, of Richmond, went to be with the Lord on Friday, March 7, 2014. She is survived by her beloved husband of 55 years, Garland Whitby, Sr.; daughters, Anita Bergeron (Mike) and Etta Irby; sons, Charles Stephens (Brenda) and Garland Whitby, Jr. (Tina); brother, George Abernathy; 10 grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren. The family will receive friends 5 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Morrissett Funeral & Cremation Service, 6500 Iron Bridge Road (Rte. 10). Her funeral service will be 2 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home. Interment will follow at Dale Memorial Park. The family suggests donations may be made to the American Kidney Fund, 11921 Rockville Pike, Suite 300, Rockville, MD 20852.
