Obituary
Mayo III, Howard Atwill, 76, of Chesterfield, VA, went to be with the Lord on Sunday, March 25, 2018. He is preceded in death by his loving wife of 44 years, Bertha Vermelle Mayo; and parents, Howard A. and Thelma Mayo. He is survived by his sons, Howard A. Mayo IV (Deborah), Dr. Douglas D. Mayo (Dr. Kristina), and Reverend Samuel Terrell Mayo, Sr. (Amy); siblings, Douglas Randy Mayo (Dina) and Kathy Elaine Davis (Don); and grandchildren Alex, Abby, Adam, Jackson, Harrison, Reagan, Kennedy, Anna, Sammy, Mollie, and Owen Mayo; and brothers-in-law, S. David McIlwain and Terrell Ernest McIlwain (Vikki). The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 pm on Thursday, March 29, 2018 at Morrissett Funeral and Cremation Service, 6500 Iron Bridge Rd. (Rt. 10). His celebration of life will be held at 11 am on Friday, March 30, at Ironbridge Baptist Church, 10900 Iron Bridge Rd (Rt. 10).
