Obituary

Howard Paul Phipps, 95 of Chesterfield County, VA died April 27, 2022.  His wife, Pauline Martin and his parents Ike and Lola Phipps precede him in death as well as siblings, Ruth Phipps Ashlin, JoAnna Phipps Sickles and Ike Phipps, Jr.  He was born November 5, 1926, in Smith County, VA. He is survived by children, Howard W. Phipps, Harold M. Phipps (Linda), Dale E. Phipps (Pam), Paul M. Phipps (Karen), Lisa M. Phipps; longtime family members, Marianne Slavic, and Sue Wagner; nieces and nephews; 9 grandchildren, Harold M. Phipps Jr. (Corin), Jason W. Phipps (Carli), Paula M. Montaque (Alex), Kimberly A. Taylor (Justin), Edward J. Palko III (Whitney), Paul M. Phipps Jr. (Beth), Elizabeth M. Phipps, Karen Lynn Phipps (Jazz), and Pauline A. Phipps (Brandon) as well as 17 great grandchildren. He is also survived by a host of friends. He will be deeply missed. The family will receive friends on Thursday, May 5, 2022, from 6 pm to 8 pm at Morrissett Funeral Home, 6500 Iron Bridge Rd. There will be a private graveside service at Riverview Cemetery. In lieu of flowers please make donations to James River Hospice or American Heart Association.
