Obituary

Ida Strickland Marshall, 99, of North Chesterfield, VA went home to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Wednesday, September 13, 2023. She was predeceased by her husband, Carl L. Marshall, and was the last living child of Mamie Dixon and Clarence Strickland. Ida is survived by several nephews and a niece. Ida served many churches in the Richmond and Chesterfield area by playing the piano and the organ. Ida retired from DGSC after 37 years of service. She is a member of Heritage Baptist Church, 7777 Cogbill Road, Chesterfield, VA 23832, where memorial gifts can be made in lieu of flowers. The family would like to thank Commonwealth Assisted Living for their care and a special thanks to Deborah Lewis.

A graveside service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, September 20, 2023 at Dale Memorial Park, 10201 Newbys Bridge Road, Chesterfield, VA 23832.
